Matthew 16:13-20

Our scripture this week asks that age-old question, “Who do you say that I am?”  And, really, who is the genuine Jesus?  Has he been effectively co-opted by the gun-toting, war-mongering right wing?  Or perhaps he is just a lukewarm, passive nice guy for whom “anything goes”?  Who is this Jesus?  And how would he respond to the current events we face today?^*
