Mark 16:1-8

Happy Easter!  Come for breakfast and a children’s Easter Egg Hunt, and stay for inspired worship.

Well, it’s resurrection Sunday.  SO, our theme will be resurrection. . . .  J  And we will continue to focus attention on the courage that is called forth in us as we “pay attention, be astonished, and tell about it.”

To prepare the sanctuary for Easter, during the Opening Song, people will be invited forward to place flowers and plants on the altar and communion table.

John 12:12-19

Throughout Lent, our overarching theme is “Pay attention. Be astonished.  Tell about it.”  This week, we gather to hear (and see) the story of Jesus’ riding into Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover.  It is a story full of great emotion!  We will focus attention on the courage that is called forth in this story and in all of us.

Jeremiah 31:31-34

Throughout Lent, our overarching theme is “Pay attention. Be astonished.  Tell about it.”  This week, in our scripture from Jeremiah, God talks about writing God’s law on our hearts.  What would that mean?  What would that look like? How would that change/affect our lives?  What is written on our hearts now?

John 3:14-21

Throughout Lent, our overarching theme is “Pay attention. Be astonished.  Tell about it.”  This week, in our scripture from John, Jesus is speaking with the Pharisee Nicodemus, who has come to meet with Jesus secretly.  Gem is preaching, and the theme for this service is Christ lifted up.

John 2:13-25

Throughout Lent, our overarching theme is “Pay attention. Be astonished.  Tell about it.”  This week, in our scripture from John, Jesus enters the Temple early in his ministry and with a righteous anger, he turns over the tables of the money changers.  Here, we are confronted with the questions:  Where do we find the Holy?  What is idolatry?  How are we guilty of sins of omission and sins of commission?
