Throughout Lent, our overarching theme will be “Pay attention. Be astonished.  Tell about it.”  This week, in our scripture from Mark, we are confronted with who we want Jesus to be, the astonishing and perplexing invitation simultaneously to hold on and to let go, and what it means to be saved.

Mark 1:9-22 and 2 Corinthians 4:7-12
